Delta Chi Epsilon is the local predecessor of Sigma Pi Delta-Iota Chapter. Founded at the then named Wisconsin State University – Platteville on September 15th, 1965, Delta Chi Epsilon operated from its founding until it became a colony of Sigma Pi Fraternity, International on November 18th in either 1967 or 1968. During this two-year colonization period, the brothers of Delta Chi Epsilon were taught the creed, structure, and obligations required to become a chapter of Sigma Pi. On April 11th, 1970 Delta Chi Epsilon was formally chartered as the Delta-Iota Chapter of Sigma Pi, becoming the 104th chapter of the fraternity.
